this is Lobby the Lobster, I free-handed painted him onto our pack porch he is about 4 feet long, and he makes me smile every single time I see him! Our swimming pool took more shock than we expected but as of today we have pretty blue pool water and if the temperature warms up we could actually go swimming this next weekend. The four lawns are super green and and I am just over flowing with happiness over how beautiful the Mesquite Creek Property is looking

In 2011 I decided to grow out my really short pixie hair cut, the longest strand of hair was still above my ears, we are talking short hair. I loved the way it framed my face but I didn't love having to fry my hair everyday with a flat iron which damaged the ends of my hair. On top of the damage from the flat iron, I swam in chlorinated salt water for five months and was exposed to sun which lightened my hair considerably. After surfing the web I discovered that one of the agents drying out my hair was sulfates in normal shampoo. Even baby shampoo has sulfates. Many brands claim to be sulfate free such as L'Oreal, but the ingredients have a "sister chemical" of sulfate agent; in other words, they are not really sulfate free, fakers.

So what is a person to do? I went shampoo free. That is right I no longer use shampoo on my hair. I haven't shampooed my hair in 3 months. Okay before you freak out and think, nasty. Let me tell you how I get my hair so clean and healthy that I only have to "clean" my hair every other day, and if I use suave dry shampoo, I can easily go four days before I have to "clean" my hair which is great for plane travel weeks.

Here is my recipe for awesome healthy ends of hair

1. Brush hair out to remove any loose strands, they cause knots. Due to growing my hair out, I usually keep my hair tied up and this doesn't allow normal loose hairs to fall out so they are still clinging in my hair

2. Super saturate the ends from the ears down with coconut oil, I mean really super over saturate the ends, trust me it will not be greasy at the end of this process.

3. Jump into shower and run normal hot water over the ends to help the coconut oil melt even more into your strands, plus water makes hair open up and expand which allows even more coconut oil to enter the strand of hair

4. Apply a silicone free conditioner all over and work into the roots and this removes any dirt and extra oil from scalp, massage in just like it is shampoo

5. Rinse out conditioner

6. Splash baking soda rinse, I naturally get greasy around my front and top roots so that is where I apply rinse

7. Rinse out baking soda solution.

8. Towel dry

9. Apply its a 10 spray just to ends, my hair only takes 3 sprays, so even though this stuff is super expensive, it should last me at least 2 yrs. Bonus: My husband loves the way this spray makes my hair smell.

After blowing drying my damp hair, my ends truly feel just as soft and strong, as my roots (youngest hair) Its amazing how strong my ends feel!

 I use the little pot of coconut oil for travel, and my stash in the bathroom, I leave the large jar in the refrigerator to use for refills

Conditioner- nicked named C.O. for conditioner only

  Most people don't know that I have a chemistry back ground, it is almost an obsession with me. The thing about silicone is that it can not be broken down by water, so when we put silicone or dimethicone on hair it seals the hair, preventing any good oils from entering the hair, the hair becomes dry and splits. any word ending with cone is the ingredients list must be avoided.

Now for the recipe for baking soda rinse

1 cup water

1 tablespoon baking soda

shake and use as much or as little as you want

I keep mine in an old baby shampoo bottle, it holds 2 cups and I splash it on my top roots and rinse.

 I purchased the bottle with keratin simply because I was in Waxahachie TX at the grocery store HEB and it was on sale, normally I purchase the regular formula
